Task 2: Ideation & Design Direction

INSTRUCTIONS

Task 2A + 2B

I decided that my style would be to change the style of Beryl's original B-pop candy chocolate into a vibrant and youthful one, and then I started to think about it.

So, I chose some more dynamic references to support my ideas, including four offline and four online ideas, and I wanted them to be interesting and dynamic.

Reflection

Experience

Through this task, I gained experience in organizing and selecting the right references. We needed to decide the eight online and offline designs we needed to make. We were relatively free in this regard. At the same time, the difficulties in finding references also became our experience, allowing us to understand how to unify a style for the work.

Observation

I observed that we need to unify the style of all touch points to express the brand's personality and let the audience know that these designs express the brand. Therefore, when I was conceiving, the references I chose were as consistent as possible.

Findings

I realized the importance of planning a unified style, which can help the audience connect with the brand. And this method of conception can effectively let me express a unified concept.
