REFLECTION

Experience

I'm glad I could only learn about typography, even though the journey has been difficult and struggling it's been a lot of fun at the same time.  I think creating my own typeface is a novel experience, although the process is complicated and difficult, and it sometimes leads me to distress.  The experience of learning typography made me pay more attention to the text designs encountered in life, such as those on clothes and advertisements, most of which are creative, and trained me to pay more attention to other people's designs.

Observation 

In the task, I learned to observe the differences in the strokes of different fonts and the characteristics of the characters. After deconstructing the fonts, I can pay more attention to the differences between the characters.

Findings

During this semester, I discovered that there are a large number of rules in typography.  At first I thought that typography should be freer and more artistic, and you can break the rules and come in to create instead of blindly following these rules.  But it was later discovered that sometimes these rules are indeed more beneficial to typography. It can make the text beautiful and balanced, make the viewer feel more orderly, and make it easier to read the text.
